Initial point of contact with customers, product specialist for Turf / Irrigation / Lighting as well as maintaining and improving warehouse merchandising
•Initiating the customer service process including customer check-in, credit check, scanner and in/out time initializing and CSR assignment. •Act as Product Specialist for Turf, Irrigation and Landscape Lighting •Providing fundamental product information to customers including pricing and availability. •Verifying materials against receiving documents, report discrepancies and obvious damage. •Implement warehouse merchandising plan and keeping products well stocked. •Manage the nursery product and tool warranty process, and customer product pick-up orders, and complete all related paperwork.
Skills & Qualifications:
•Experience with the three product areas – Turf, Irrigation, Lighting •Team player who understands the need for occasionally participating in tasks outside normal job scope •High energy and customer orientation •Ability to work overtime as the season requires •Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions; including adverse weather conditions; both heat and cold •Must be physically able to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance (occasionally, regularly, routinely, throughout the course of the work day) •Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the body mechanics associated with safe lifting techniques and knowledge of principles of strain & sprain prevention •Perform functions of position standing approximately 95% of day •Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications •Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus •Retail landscape supply experience a plus •High School diploma or GED required
